01 / Origin
I started with code. Design found me later.
I wrote my first production code at 19 and shipped my first interface a year later. Engineering taught me how systems actually work: state, edge cases, the unglamorous parts that decide whether a product is usable or a demo.
Design came when I realized the hardest problems weren't in the code. They were in the decisions: what the product should do, who it was for, and how to know it was working. I've spent the last eight years on exactly that.
Engineering taught me to break down complexity. Design taught me to build for humans. I need both to do either well.
02 / How I work
Three principles I come back to on every project.

Systems before screens.
The best interfaces are the outcome of a clear model: state, feedback, outcomes. I design the logic first, then the pixels follow with far less argument.

Ship it, then sharpen it.
Research and prototypes earn their keep only when they meet real users. I bias toward shipping small, measuring honestly, and iterating with evidence, not opinions.

Engineering is my unfair advantage.
Eight years writing code taught me what is cheap, what is expensive, and what is impossible. I design with the grain of the system so teams actually build what I draw.
